The Elite Series by Elite Water Inc. is designed to provide both salt free anti-scale conditioner and the great benefits of carbon filtered water in a multi stage design without backwashing. Let’s face it, there are situations where there is no way to drain a backwashing system due to the home or building. The Elite Series System employs technologies that require no backwashing. The first stage is an up flow carbon tank using coconut shell carbon. Enjoy the benefits of carbon in this up flow design that does not require any backwashing. The second tank is a salt free anti-scale conditioner that contains Catalytic Ceramic Media. The system also is installed with a 5 micron pre-filter to remove sand, silt, dirt, and debris.

No Salt Solution

What is Catalytic Ceramic Media and what does it do? Catalytic Ceramic Media is made up of small beads that are off white in color. They, when fluidized, cause the calcium carbonate mineral to become crystalized. That process is called TAC (Template Assisted Crystallization). TAC is proven to be the most effective zero discharge scale prevention alternative to salt softening. Independent lab tested at 99.6% in scale prevention makes this technology a clear choice for both residential and commercial customers who would prefer an alternative to a salt based softening system. The catalytic Media service life is 3 to 5 years depending on water quality and heavy metal present in the water.

Chemicals

Carbon is the most cost effective way of removing chlorine and other chemicals in the water. Though RO (reverse osmosis) Systems do a better job of removing more unwanted chemicals, they are not cost effective or practical for a home or building on city water. Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) is used to remove dissolved contaminants from water by absorption. Beware all carbon is NOT the same. There are many different types of carbon on the market that are good at targeting different impurities. The most popular is coconut shell carbon. This carbon is used by most companies in the industry for the great chlorine removal properties it has. The Elite Series System only uses coconut shell carbon. But coconut shell on its own does a poor job of removing chloramines and hydrogen sulfide that leaves a rotten egg smell in the water. If these conditions are present in your water we recommend the Platinum Series System to remove those impurities. The Elite Series carbon has a service life of 7-10 years depending on water usage and conditions. An easy way to tell if your carbon needs to be serviced is to use a litmus test to test for chlorine. When chlorine is present in the water, it is time to change your carbon.

The Elite Series includes a lifetime warranty on the tank and valve body. There is a one year warranty covering all labor. The carbon and anti-scale media come with a quality guarantee, which stipulates it meets all required specifications.
